This morning I had the same crappy feeling as yesterday. As a result of this, I went to school earlier than required to wander around. Did that for about a hour, then went to chem lecture. I did research and found out that most people stop paying attention and/or zoned out after 20 minutes Continue reading ‘Research and Indians’

More of the same crap.
(I should really by working right now.)
Today was boring also, but a little more so than yesterday. I was late to calc recitation this morning cause I couldn’t get my ass out the house in time for the bus. Then mechanics let out ten minutes late (the T.A. was on a roll; about what, I’m not quite sure). Continue reading ‘More of…’
It snowed today.
There was about a few inches or so on the ground when I came home around 18:30. Nothing much else interesting happened today. Well, there was the Engineering Mechanics: Statics homework, but that isn’t interesting to anyone except RU engineering students (sidenote: Christel, go to sleep). Hey, I told you today was boring.

Got the SPARCstation 5 the other day, along with the keyboard and mouse. The keyboard (which is a type 5c) reminds me of a Mac keyboard since it had a power buttons (it has a power symbol, not some stupid arrow *cough*Mac*cough*) and the mouse connection on the keyboard. It redeems itself by having a Unix-style key layout(the CapsLock is in the lower left corner, while the Control is beside the A). Continue reading ‘Sparcy’
It’s the end of another winter break, the first that I’ve ever had that was a month long. Alas, I go back to school tomorrow. Goddamn, it’s going to feel weird going back.

As many of you know, I’m some what of a computer historian geek person. At the beginning of the month I wanted to get a VAX so I could play with VMS. I lost two auctions on eBay for a VAXstation. Continue reading ‘VAX to MIPS to SPARC’
Edited the config file for b2. I enabled TrackBack, Pingback, image uploading (for users with level 2 or above), and graphical similes.

I had to go to work today to fill out some paper work around 13:30. I was ready ahead of time, so I decided to kill some time by checking on the VAXstation auction that was about to end. Great, there was four minutes left and I was still on top (some bastard did bump the bidding from $14.00 up to $25.00). Went to the head and reloaded the page when I came back. Thirty-nine seconds left. I had this auction bagged. With no worries, I checked my email. “Ebay Outbid Alert– VAXstation 3100 m76″ WTF?!? I quickly switched to mozilla and reloaded the page. “Bidding has ended– somebastard(-2.3e76) is the winner” [Ed: Some harsh adult language was removed] Oh man, I was so pissed. With 39 friggin seconds, I was out bid. Oh man. The next VAX I see, I’m using Buy It NOW!. Now I have to deal/fight with the DECstation.
Like I said before, I had to go to work to fill out paper work. It was 1.5 hours of writing my name, address and social security number (also known as a Taxpayer Identification Number). There were two people already filling out their packet. I was the last one there and the first one out. The lady even complimented me since I know how to fill out a W-4 form (It’s not that hard, but there are people out there who don’t read directions). I start working on Sunday.
If you are seeing this, I got a hosting service and installed some blogging software. Hey, I have my own domain and can mess up my site as much as I want now.
Okay, I think a little history is in order. I usually keep a journal of my own life, recording the shitty times and the good times. Everyone else I’ve seen kept a log like this online. So I decided to start one. I found some free blog site and used that. Everything didn’t seem right when I posted to my blog. I didn’t know what was wrong. One day I knew what it was, the site wasn’t my own. I needed my own domain and site. Well, I had a domain but no site. So one day my friend, Mike, and I decided that we should get a hosting and share the thing. We looked around and decided on one. That brings us up to now, I have my own blogging site.

Here’s a picture.
Still on top with the VAX and DECstations. There’s only a little while until the auctions end (and some bastard better not snipe me).
Got the job. It’s a low-end minimum wage job, but it pays, so I don’t care. Need to go in on Monday to fill out some paperwork.
Also got myself a new stereo system for my room. It has a 5 disc changer, and comes with the 2 standard speakers and 3 satellites (for surround sound). It took a while to set up since (let’s put it this way, it wasn’t a 1 minute job). Sounds good. I can feel the woofer across my house now.
Now onto something totally unrelated, you may know I own the domain sourmilk.net (well, now you know). I finally got hosting for it and plan to put a site up. You know the standard stuff, like a blog, pictures, etc. It should be up in a few weeks.
