More of the same crap.

Today was boring also, but a little more so than yesterday. I was late to calc recitation this morning cause I couldn’t get my ass out the house in time for the bus. Then mechanics let out ten minutes late (the T.A. was on a roll; about what, I’m not quite sure). Physics was okay, even though I didn’t feel like going to it. Pretty sure I aced the quiz, but that lab… oh the pain. This was followed by Intro to Computers for Engineering (aka Fortran). I felt like sleeping in that class but I couldn’t. I try not to sleep in class and usually don’t. The major exception is calc class, where I doze off evey now and then. The teacher is nice and all, but she needs work on her lecture (which was right after Fortran, but don’t tell anyone that I didn’t go to that (I really felt crappy and wasn’t in the mood 
)). The rest of the day was spent at my friends house.
Speaking of Fortran, I attempted to install the compiler/IDE that come with the book for the class (see above). I think Windows(tm) software doesn’t like me very much, cause most pieces of Windows(tm) software breaks at the end of the install for me. Well, I just quit the thing when it hung and tried it out. The IDE seemed to work, untill I tried compiling the standard Hello, World! program. It bitched upon hearing from me. Ehh, I wasn’t planning to use that Windows piece of crap(tm) anyway, it’s good old CLI for me (if I can find a F90 compiler for FreeBSD, or else I’ll be forced to ssh into their solaris boxes (which isn’t a problem)).
Hopefully tomorrow will bring something better.
Ah, F77, F90, what’s the difference..
It should snow again.
F77 reminds me of punch cards, F90/95 reminds me of people who compare languages that were designed to do different things and always get it wrong since they never programmed in either language
