Birthday was yesterday. Not really all that exciting considering that most people had to be told by someone else that it was in fact my birthday. Didn’t get anything either. Pretty much like any other day.
Parents went to Canada to vist relatives. I couldn’t go since I have class. Wait, parents gone, me left? That means I have the house to myself until that get back (which is next Wednesday). Woohoo.

Life’s boring, then you die.
Ehh, been a pretty average two days (read: it’s been boring lately). Woke up late this morning since I came home last night around midnight, then stayed up for a few hours, and waking up at 05:30 didn’t feel quite right. Hmm, why is that I remember turning my alarm off around 04:00? Ehh, I still woke up in time, so I guess it doesn’t matter.
Still waiting for the ss5 cd-rom drive. Should be coming tomorrow or Friday. Probably will wipe the drive on the sparcstation and finally set it up right.
Meh, hope something interesting happens tomorrow. Getting hit my a bus would make the day a little more interesting.
Had to wake up early this morning to go to class. So did the morning ritual of getting up early as hell(tm). Ehh, class was okay. I have some crazy French lady for a calc prof. The two hour passed by at a normal pace. After that, had lunch with a friend in the class, then went home. When I got home, found a white box with my name on it. It was the Zip drive that I ordered last week. Got it working properly after Mike told me that I needed ATAPI floppy support in my kernel. Hmm, I was wondering if I really would need that someday. Rest of the day was pretty much spent lounging around the house.
Using a ATA/IDE Zip drive under FreeBSD is fairly simple to use. Before you plugin the device, just make sure that the following is in your kernel config file: Continue reading ‘ZIP100 in FreeBSD’
First thing to do today was go to that hell hole that they call work. Nothing much interesting happened. Hours went by like a Windows defragmentation (that is, rather slow). One guy in produce did ask me if I was going to see “Finding Nemo” (the movie). He said he was. Every time I went to the back room, he yelled out “Eric, Finding Fucking Nemo, your gonna see it”. Mmmm, I really have nothing to say about that other than… yeah, nothing to say.

Ever since I got back from England, it’s been non-stop rain. Why? Is the earth trying to tell me something? I don’t know, maybe I’ll get a vision in a dream or in the puddle of gasoline in a parking lot.

As you very well know, I went to FHS last week. After that incident I complained about FHS security. Well, here is another reason:
Studnet Stabbed at Franklin High School
Pair charged in Franklin H.S. stabbing
There I told you FHS security sucked.

Didn’t do much today. Woke up around 11:00, read the standard news items that I read everyday, ate lunch (which basically now-a-days is anything that can be microwaved). Went out to look for material to keep myself occupied (read: anything that will help me make a big flame). Originally I was going to buy alcohol, but then I found materials at my local Dollar Store. Ended up buying Methanol Gel and a large Aluminum pan. This was followed up by a trip to CVS to get the alcohol (a small bottle, not my usual liter thing). Hmm, when do I have time to actually use this stuff? Ehh, it will get used.

Killed the boredom before by burning about an inch worth of paper. Tools used to encourage the flame were 91% isopropyl alcohol and a propane torch. Man, was there ever a lot of smoke. The 2 foot high flames kept me busy for a while (which wasn’t long enough). After that, when to the guy to get my head run over with a lawn mower (read: I got a hair cut). Ehh, it’s short. The next time I probably will be cutting it again is when it’s 9 inches or so. Hehe. I would like long hair but my hair never agrees with me. Whatever.
God, first it’s hot as hell, then it’s cold as all shit. WTF?!? Damnit mother nature, make up your bloody mind!
Once again, I’m bored. Spent most of this morning reading tid-bits of technical docs (I’m a geek, okay!). God, it’s so boring. How did I last through the previous summers? Yeah, so I woke up at 06:45 this morning and couldn’t go back to sleep. Well I could have, but it takes me like 3 hours to sleep if I didn’t run at 110% through out the day. Don’t feel like learning another programming language, there isn’t too much stuff I can do with programs, nothing much on the tele, and I don’t feel like reading any books. I feel like making something. Arugh, no money. I must get money. Hmm, that is harder than is appears to be.
