People really piss me off. Not just any people, people that call themselves my friends. They make plans with you, then ,after some time, they changes the previously mentioned plans and then don’t tell you. Worst of all, the expect you to follow through with the plans. Ugh. You really don’t want to follow through since you know you won’t enjoy yourself and you just busted your butt for something you didn’t want. Having to deal with this crap made me think of a ranking system for my friends, cause they really need one. This will also make it a lot easier to describe people, since you know how close I am to certain people.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I went to Philadelphia on Friday. Pretty good day. The most interesting place we went to was probably the Condom Kingdom and the quest to look for a homeless man to interview him for his life story.
Hmm, why do people ask me for help with Linux? I’ve counted at least 5 people within the past 2 weeks asking for general information about Linux. This is up from the normal of 0 (zero). Funny since I don’t even use it, nor have I done any installs of it (read: I really don’t know the internals of it).
Oh yeah, if you call the OS on my computer Linux, please stop, it’s called FreeBSD.
Ugh, it’s a hot as hell day. Right now, weather.com says it feels like 89 deg. Damn, it must have reached 100 or something like that during mid-day (when I was out working). And my mom is too cheap to at least haul out a block of ice with a fan.
I got the new release of the Nvidia drivers for my TNT2 card. They still need to work out bug in it for -CURRENT. At first they are fine, but the second time you start X, randoms X apps start segfaults (including the window manager). Back to the drawing board and the open source nv drivers for me. Ehh, people said that they got it working by playing with different setting between the FreeBSD agp code and nvidia’s own code. Aww, screw the shit, like I need them.
Ugh, parent came back home yesterday. There goes the peace that lasted 5 days. Yeah, yeah, so they’re here again annoying me and they really haven’t even done anything yet. I don’t know, they don’t really do anything major, it’s the little things that build up, like not knocking before they enter my room, randomly going into my room and moving stuff around, crap like that. Okay, okay, every parent does that, but it feels like they don’t have a right to. I mean if they actually gave a damn about my life, then I would say okay be a little annoying as long as it doesn’t interfere with my work. But no, I have no idea if they care or not. Over the past years, I’ve felt more distant from them, maybe I just grew up, or is it that I started to become less tolerant of the garbage they give me. I don’t know, I don’t feel like ranting now, so I’ll save that for another time.
(Sidenote: this pretty much only applies to my mom, my dad is just as clueless but he does encourage me from time to time, and does help me out)
