Um… I hope they were dead before she made them into art.
Yeah, there is a statement on the site:
How dare you kill these defenseless animals and use them
in a thing you call “art”!!! This is not art this is murder
of helpless creatures of earth. You should be put in Fucking
Jail and have you locked up so you wont do this to any other
animals. You need to have your had checked…You NEED SOME
SERIOUS HELP!!!!!
I hope a rabid squirrel bites you.
I’m guessing that when you refer to ‘you’, you mean ‘Ms. Edenmont’.
Being a vegetarian who does not wear leather, I am a little offended by these photos. But for
the typical public it would be hypocritical to get upset by these photos. The torture and mutilation
animals that are used for meat and clothing is far worse than the humane way these animals were
killed for art.
i am caught here…for years i have been active in animal rights campaigns and have been a proud vegitarian…but this artwork is thought provoking for me…perhaps im experiencing a bout of apathy…but this images and the story behind them doesnt fill me with rage and anger like i would have guessed…art is indescribable and no one man or woman can discern what is and what isnt…i view this as art…it IS thought provoking and isnt that what art is for? whether it fills you with rage or sorrow or joy…it affects you…this is edenmonts purpose…or so i assume…as a poet i have often offended people with my use of language and prose…it is a common reaction to misunderstanding…people fear what they dont understand…it makes them uncomfortable…and these images certainly do just that…they cause discomfort…but at the same time…they are beautiful…its a paradox…much like life itself…im my eyes Nathalia Edenmont is no less an artist than van goh…divinci…poe…or even michelangelo…she works in mysterious ways…but we are not to decide for her what her artwork should consist of…to censor art is to destroy its very existance…i am forced to keep an open mind and reflect on my own purpose…
For some reason those pictures just really caught my attention. Im very disturbed to see how a person could beat and kill poor animals to mutilate for the sake of “art.” I would love to take that women, chop of her legs and turn them into puppets, then remove her head and eyeballs, stick flowers into the sockets and display the head on a vase. It would be my most treasured peice of artwork. I would call it, beautiful death. Does this sound disturbing to you, not to me. What she does to those animals is much worse. She deserves to die.
