Another sleepless night. God damn. Just to note, there is about 2 feet of snow outside. Woot… shit, I have to walk in that later, damn it.
So I’m downloading Fedora Core to install over Debian on one of my machines for the Linux Programming class I’m taking. Oh man, Debian sucks so much (please, no hate mail). Sucky documentation, horrible installer, blah blah. Seriously, after dozens of Solaris installs and even more BSD install, you’d think I could get the damn thing installed properly (aparantly not). Err, whatever. I have to make a OpenBSD CD too, so I can finally install the router/firewall I’ve been meaning to make.
Not feeling too good this past week. I’ve been needing a lot of time to myself lately. We’ll see if today is better.
I don’t think debian is that bad, I managed to get through its installer a few times. But, the distro isn’t worth it with that cruddy installer.
I got it installed, I was jusy displeased with the installer and the documentation. I’ve heard great things about apt-get, so I’m still not sure what I’m going to try.
It’s not that great. I find it breaks as easily as RPM, and when it breaks, you really understand why overengineered crap like apt-get and rpm sucks.
