Wordpress stuns supporters with unexpected fund raising practices
Hmm…
Monthly Archive for March, 2005
So I have determined that people do read this PoS. I have no idea why. So, yeah, I’m working on something, should posted it by the end of the week, when I get the chance.
Another horrible rainy lab Monday, which means up early to finish, err… start the lab due in fours hours. Well, the lab wasn’t horrible this time, quite enjoyable in fact. Nothing like a bandpass filter to cheer you up on a rainy Monday. We actually got good data this time, which is a rare event, something akin to all the planets lining up with a Congo Line encircling each of them.
Note to self: Reminder to start the lab report a little bit before the lab is do next time.
Next up on the list was OS. Why do I go to this lecture? This man is even more boring than Petrone. Well, I at least catch up on sleep. Had dinner and went to CAC Computer lab with J. Saw Jennifer Lilgeberg when we were coming out. I’ve seen her on and off, but never really had a chance to talk to her for like a year. Helped fight her umbrella.
I also go the $7 modem card thing today so I can play around with Asterisk at some point.
Hmm, emacs has been open with a program for about a day now, I think I should finish it.
Nothing really much went on this week except for two exams, both of which were on Thursday afternoon. The first one was in Advanced Programming in/on Linux (I not sure what is the exact real title of the course… bah… call it 14:332:494:01). I thought it was pretty straight forward/easy except for the fact it was in a crappy lab. Friggin’ took 20 minutes to get used to the computers since they didn’t have less or regular emacs (and not to mention small screens, but I don’t want to nitpick here). Webserver program didn’t compile, but neither did anyone elses. An extra 15 minutes would have done it (which wouldn’t have been a problem if they were decent computers (see two sentences back)). The second was in Principles of Electrical Engineering II. Meh, drop it and take it over the summer (yes, I know I was suppose to take this a year ago). I think I’m like one of three people in the class who really likes the material and I would enjoy learning it except for the fact I’m not motivated enought to do so. Blah blah, I’m not here to write about that right now.

I so want to do this.

Would someone please tell me the point of Spring Break? I mean, I stress more about school work during Spring Break than other times. And it’s not like we actually get a breather, it’s more of a form of torture.
Err, time management.
Update: nevermind the rambling, I’ve gotten no sleep the past two days.
Yeah, so I gave Debian another go since everyone at Rutgers seems to use it. Using the default most everything brings me to this:

AIM Terms of Service
I know others have linked and talk about this (if you didn’t know, AOL now can use any of your AIM conversations any way they please without informing you).
Make me wish Jabber was more popular.
/me go builds a Jabber server
Oh yeah, I’m kc2hmv@jabber.org if you’re curious.
Update: Aparantly, AOL clarified this:

Well, people should still use Jabber anyway.
So I got my sample from Microchip, which I wasn’t expecting until later this week. But they make up with this (I was suppose to get this last Friday):

So I went to take a nap last night around 18:30 and woke up around 07:00 this morning. Hmm, not quite the plan, but hey, can’t complain, woke up refreshed.
In the never ending quest to fix this huge hack that I call my blog, I made an attempt to fix all the image link thingies. Tell me if you find a broken <img src=”…” />.
(If you’re curious, they broke when I moved from b2 to wordpress and from wordpress 1.2 to 1.5)
